Dr. Pablo San SegundoPostdoctoral Researcher
I obtained my MSc in Molecular Immunology in 2015 at Complutense University of Madrid, right before undertaking my DPhil studies under the supervision of Dr. Rodrigo Barderas and Dr. Mayte Villalba between 2016-2020. My undergraduate research experience included the characterization of biomarkers in chronic diseases like allergy and Alzheimer´s, using different proteomics and molecular biology approaches. After a short post-doc at Max-Planck Ageing in 2020, in March 2021 I joined Bonnie Murphy´s group as an Alfonso Martín Escudero fellow. Fascinated by how the immune system regulates cell signaling to produce efficient but controlled responses, my research focuses on the structural characterization of proteins related to the innate immune system by cryo-EM.
