DFG Collaborative Research Center 1403
Research within SFB1403 aims to uncover the regulatory mechanisms and functional roles of various forms of regulated cell death in animals and plants. A particular focus lies on understanding how different types of cell death influence immunity, host–microbe interactions, inflammation, and disease.
Within this research consortium, two subprojects are based at our institute:
A02 – Cross-talk between dying and bystander cells in vitro and in vivo: an optogenetics approach
B07 - Ultra-structure of the plasma membrane harbouring MLKL oligomers and MLKL-mediated Ca2+ influx during plant and animal immunogenic cell death
