Sustainability at the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics

Making science greener

As scientists, we worry about the impact that our research has in the environment. We have created this group as a way to monitor the energy consumption and waste generation throughout the institute, as well as to raise awareness about environmental issues related to our research.

This group is formed by members of the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics that, as volunteers, want to tackle environmental problems faced in everyday work-life, from different valuable points of view. We are part of the Max Planck Sustainability Network and have the support from our colleagues and the Max Planck Institute of Biophysics Sustainability Commission. We welcome all institute members to join us!

Get involved!

We meet on Wednesday every two weeks for an in-person lunch meeting. Our next meeting is on Oct 20th at 12:00 in the bistro. Everyone is welcome! Bring your food and new ideas!
