Postdoctoral ResearcherResearch group “Bonnie Murphy: Redox and Metalloproteins”
During my Phd, I studied conformational movement of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) by EPR spectroscopy. Amazed by the power of cryo-EM to decipher protein conformational landscape, in 2020 I joined the lab of Dr. Bonnie Murphy as a postdoc researcher. My interest focuses on studying metalloproteins in redox biology, such as complexes involved in carbon fixation, methanogenesis and sulfite reduction, by single-particle cryo-EM combined with anaerobic specimen preparation. By obtaining structures of these complexes, I aim to understand more about their roles in energy conservation.
